Summary of Updates to VR Oxygen Legal Policies (Effective January 12, 2026)
We have completed a comprehensive overhaul of our entire legal framework, including our General Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy, to align with our latest platform features and global regulatory standards.
As of January 12, 2026, the new set of Terms and Policies will supersede and replace all previously published agreements.
Key Material Changes
- Updated Global Privacy Policy: We have clarified the types of personal data we collect, improved readability, and added more detail around your data subject rights (such as the Right to Access and Erasure) under GDPR and similar global regimes.
- Enhanced Data Analysis: We have clarified the lawful basis and purpose for using anonymized and consented test data to power our data analysis, delivering more efficient and insightful reports.
- New Children Privacy Supplements: The Children Privacy Policy and Parent Privacy Disclosure have been updated to align with the latest regulatory standards (e.g., COPPA, GDPR-K) and provide clearer consent mechanisms for minors (age 10-17) and their guardians.
- Refined General and Customer Terms: Updates have been made across our core business agreements to clarify licensing terms, platform usage rights, and restrictions on the use of Output (Test data and reports).
- Clearer Data Access and Retention: We have clarified the roles and responsibilities of VR Oxygen and our Customers (Controllers vs. Processors) and provided more transparency regarding data retention periods in the updated legal documents.
